What types of pets do you transport?

We primarily manage travel arrangements for family dogs and cats. However, we have also transported chinchillas, chickens, bearded dragons and birds. We do not transport exotics.

What services do The Pet Porters offer?

Air and ground pet transportation, veterinarian selection and or coordination, boarding in our private facility located in Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, USDA and airline documentation review and pet porter or nanny services.

What are the requirements to ship my pet internationally?

Each country has different requirements for pet to enter safely and legally. A few items that are a must to start the process:
a. Pet must be chipped with an ISO microchip to meet international standards
b. Pet must be vaccinated against rabies. Some countries require the rabies vaccination within one year of travel regardless of a current 3 year vaccination certificate.
c. Depending on species, pets may need to be up-to-date on core vaccinations for short term boarding in transit when needed.

How do I confirm my pets travel with The Pet Porters?

To secure pet relocation services with The Pet Porters, a non-refundable deposit of $250-$600 (depending on services requested) is required. The deposit amount will be applied to the final balance due. The full payment will be due 10 days prior to departure. Upon receipt of the "Pet Relocation Contract" the invoice will be emailed to you for payment. Your personal Pet Travel Specialist will confirm the complete schedule of services with you via email within 24 hours of receipt of the contract.
