Before traveling to the UAE, your pet must have an ISO-compliant microchip for permanent identification. The Pet Porters will verify the microchip and assist with registration if needed. Additionally, a valid rabies vaccination is required at least 21 days prior to travel, with documentation including the vaccine’s name, manufacturer, batch number, and date of administration; we’ll ensure compliance with UAE regulations. Core vaccinations must also be up-to-date: canine distemper, parvovirus, and adenovirus for dogs, and feline rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia for cats. We coordinate with your veterinarian to document these vaccinations accurately.
Parasite treatments for internal and external parasites are mandatory before travel, and The Pet Porters will oversee that these treatments are administered and documented. A health certificate, completed by a USDA-accredited veterinarian within 10 days of travel, is also required to confirm your pet’s fitness to fly; we facilitate the completion of this certificate. Finally, an import permit is necessary for entry into the UAE, and The Pet Porters will assist in obtaining this permit to ensure smooth customs clearance.
